Stump Grinding

Stump grinding uses a purpose-built machine to mechanically grind a stump and its main lateral roots down below ground level. The resulting chip is either backfilled into the hole or removed, leaving the area ready for grass, paving, planting or fencing.

Suitable for gardens, lawns, driveways, farm yards, paddocks, public areas and any site where a stump is in the way or where new planting, building or landscaping work is planned.

Often required after a tree has been felled, where old stumps are causing trip hazards, where stumps are suckering and regrowing, or where roots could interfere with foundations, drains, paths or new lawns.

Grinding removes the trip hazard, prevents regrowth in most species, and frees up the ground for whatever comes next. It is faster, less destructive and far less disruptive than excavating a stump by digger.
